WrestleMania 33: 10 Predictions You Need To Know ?

The 'Grandest Stage' is now set, with final tweaks to the WrestleMania card on the go-home editions of both Raw and Smackdown Live! solidifying the layout of the loaded card just days ahead of the biggest weekend in the global wrestling calendar.
The stacked line-up doesn't look how many thought it might as little as three months ago, but there still appears a wealth of dynamic pairings and exciting contests that could actually see the supershow grossly over-deliver on measured expectations.
Furthermore, the level of patience exhibited from the company to see out several long-term plans in order to get particular combatants all the way to the 'Show of Shows' has given audiences a kind reminder of the oft-forgotten benefits of restraint. The dedication to these programmes in particular has left much of the card difficult to call, and the organisation has taken pleasure in previous years surprising many with their booking decisions, especially with shows the next night, week and month to think about that may feature reruns of top bouts and the issues therein.
Unpicking some of the biggest matches and highlighting some potential future 'WrestleMania Moments', here are 10 last minute predictions for WrestleMania 33.

LET'S START

10. Speed Kills

WWE have learned from every failure with their original booking of Bill Goldberg in his cursed 2003-04 run, committing him to less than five minutes of in-ring action in five months, all whilst conquering 'The Conqueror' and winning the Universal Title.
The distorted aura of Lesnar has become a key selling point of the programme, with Paul Heyman's usual grandstanding coming from a place of nerves and fear rather than belief and assurance after Big Bill steamrolled him at November's Survivor Series andJanuary's Royal Rumble.
However, in recent weeks, responses to Goldberg has dwindled slightly, with the more discerning 2017 viewer looking for a little more from the Champion outside of his wicked spear and heroic rhetoric. The company have thus found themselves in a rather tough spot with the eventual payoff to the feud. Keen to avoid a retread of the WrestleMania 20 disaster, a long match between the two would certainly descend into farce as the hulking behemoths fight for air and fake their intensity.
But another squash, especially if the match is placed as a show-closing spectacle, is likely to dissatisfy the bulk of the crowd.
Just short of 10 minutes seems the perfect middle, with a more resilient Brock dethroning the shattered 50-year-old.

9. Stealing The (Pre) Show

WWE's 2016 lightweight relaunch hasn't captivated crowds in quite the way the company probably expected after last summer's Cruiserweight Classic, but it was pleasing to see the urge resisted to throw the entire division into a multi-man cluster for the not-so-coveted title.
Instead, the organisation have shown rare patience in rewarding far and away the two strongest performers in the league with a singles match that looks destined to be one of the hottest contests of the night.
Austin Aries has rapidly ascended from commentator to competitor, whilst Neville has been revelatory in his reborn heel role as the 'King of the Cruiserweights', adding wicked submission holds and strikes to his vast array of aerial wizardry.

Alas, WWE gives with one hand and takes with the other, as the two will duke it out on the WrestleMania kickoff at some point during the protracted 2-hour build up to the main broadcast.
This seems a cruel swipe at the myriad of talents shared by both, but champion and challenger will undoubtedly look at it as an opportunity to give the box office an incredibly tough match to follow, as long as people can actually get in the building to watch this year.

8. Reigning Blood

Roman Reigns has to beat The Undertaker.
Not just score the win with a big Spear or Superman Punch, no. Roman Reigns needs to beat The Undertaker.
Since the Royal Rumble back in January, Reigns has walked the line magnificently as a cocky upstart, seemingly no longer burdened with the worry of fans loving him or hating him.
Pushed to breaking point in defeat against Kevin Owens, Roman returned later in the night to humongous boos and finished runner-up in the Rumble itself after callously tipping 'The Deadman' to floor and proclaiming the ring to now be his 'yard'.
Since then, he's been unfazed by the histrionics of The Undertaker, and relatively unmoved by his physical presence in their on-screen segments together. And what on earth should he have to worry about?
'Taker looks more close to death than any characteristic he could portray at this point, especially when Reigns opposes him looking every bit the 20 years younger he is.
Conclusive destruction of 'The Deadman' at WrestleMania is a gift-wrapped heel turn for 'The Big Dog'.
Bloodied and beaten, Undertaker can disappear again to consider what is still left for him, whilst Reigns can begin the new wrestling year revelling in the glory of an incomparable victory.

7. Return Of The Demon

Back on tour with the gang after a lengthy hiatus following his deeply unfortunate Summerslam injury, Finn Balor has worked limited house shows in preparation for his television comeback, and could well feature on the 'Grandest Stage Of Them All'.
With no current link to existing storylines, Balor's presence could be felt anywhere on the card, but his key placement could provide a huge twist in the Triple H/Seth Rollins encounter.
Rollins knows he is likely to be up against a numbers disadvantage at the 'Show of Shows', with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens currently doing the bidding for 'The Game' as rumours abound that he's set to lead a new stable in the vein of his former group Evolution.
With Triple H on the back foot, Rollins could be overwhelmed by Joe and KO, leading to a surprise return of the 'Demon' to temporarily distract the duo and ostensibly make the save.
At that point though, he turns, joining the heels in their destruction of Rollins to allow Triple H (their 'Creator') a victory over 'The Architect'.
Citing Seth as the cause of his layoff, Balor could note on Raw a pre-disposed distaste as well as respect for both Hunter and his new stablemates.

6. Smackdown Surprise

Naomi's return on the final Smackdown Live! before WrestleMania quashed claims she would be an unannounced entrant into the WWE Woman's Title match at the 'Showcase of the Immortals'.
However, there still seems the possibility that the match (and thus by default, the division) will be expanded after swirling rumours of former female faces making returns to the company to join Mickie James in shoring up the burgeoning leagues.
With Maryse stepping into the ring for the first time in years and Kelly Kelly possibly making a return, there exists the opportunity for a clash of eras, starting with the title match and dovetailing into clashes across the rosters for months to come.As one of the most universally hated heels, Eva Marie could squash stories of her WWE departure with a shocking return at the 'Show of Shows' to claim the blue brand's title.

And likely to gain an even louder response, should controversial figure Paige re-emerge from a personally challenging period to regain the title, the WrestleMania (or more specifically, Kickoff) crowd would surely erupt.
If the company could pull off either of those two comebacks, no superstar in the multi-person match could generate a comparable reaction.
